30 Sep 2010 - YAS MARINA CIRCUIT TO SPONSOR UAE MOTORCYCLE RACING TEAM
Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi is to sponsor a motorcycle racing team in the 2011 UAE Sportbike Championship. Yas Motorcycle Racing will contest the eight-round championship at the Dubai Autodrome on 675cc Triumph Daytonas ridden by Mahmoud Tannir and Alan Boyter.

Tannir and Boyter finished fifth and sixth respectively in the 2010 championship under the Vendetta Racing UAE banner. The team's other sponsors for the 2011 season will be Fitness First, Motorex, Perfomance Moto, Probikes and Stuff Magazine.

Motorcycle racing is a new venture for Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and world-renowned as a spectacular track for car racing. "We want to be active in every leading branch of motorsport," explained Richard Cregan, Chief Executive Officer of Yas Marina Circuit. "Motorcycle racing is an important part of motorsport and we are very excited to be able to support Mahmoud and Alan in this way. It's wonderful to be involved with a great team in a highly popular series at Dubai Autodrome, one of the region's world-class racing facilities.

"We already run our own Top Fuel drag racing team, which has just had great success on a US tour, and Yas Motorcycle Racing is a logical next step for us. Mahmoud and Alan are experienced and respected racers and we look forward to watching them ride in our trademark livery in the coming season."

Boyter welcomed the new sponsorship. "We are really pleased to be working with such a prestigious name in the world of motorsport as Yas Marina Circuit," he said. "We look forward to their close involvement in the championship, not just as sponsors but as people who are as passionate as we are about racing. Our Triumphs were very competitive last season and we have great hopes for 2011."

Yas Motorcycle Racing comprises seven team members, including crew chief Aldrin Samuel, with Deborah Morrison-Tannir and Jennie Stallings managing communications and team support.

20 Sep 2010 - Vendetta Racing to announce new Team Title Sponsor deal
The Dubai based Vendetta Racing team are excited about their new Title Sponsor, and will make the official announcement at the Dubai Autodrome Media Day on Sep 30th. As anyone in racing will tell you, sponsors support is one of the most crucial items to get ticked off your list early on, not everyone is blessed with a bottomless pit of personal cash to invest into a sport that they love dearly. Those who have followed the UAE Sportsbike Championship over the last couple of years will be familiar with the team Vendetta Racing. The duo of Alan Boyter and Mahmoud Tannir, who introduced the Triumph brand to race in last year’s championship, have been rather quiet about the upcoming seasons plans. We caught up with the Vendetta boys to find out the plans for the new championship and found them rather tight lipped….

‘The Vendetta Racing camp has been very busy during the off season trying to make an impact on the 2010/11 championship in every way we can. The bikes have been fine tuned and fettled to get as most out of them as we can within the current rules of the sports bike championship. The 675 Triumph is such great bike with so much potential, hopefully they will both shine even more than they did last year.’

‘We have been chasing the sponsorship trail hard and in the current economic climate outright rejection is almost the norm, but I can proudly say that we now have a title sponsor which will remain anonymous until the Media and test day on the 30th of this month, this is a huge sponsor for us and a real demonstration of worldwide brands looking to support grass roots racing, we are very excited and can’t wait to show everyone our new colours, livery and branding.’ commented an excited Alan Boyter

19 Aug 2010 - Vendetta around Isle of Man
On Aug 19th, Dubai based Brit, Steve Blackney set off to complete a life long dream of racing the famous TT circuit at the Manx GP on the Isle of Man. Steve is better known in Dubai for his multiple Motocross titles, he holds nine Middle East Open Motocross Championship titles and has raced UAE Desert Challenge for the past ten years. As if that wasn’t enough he’s competed in the Australian Safari Rally in 4 times! but recently Steve has changed terrain to circuit racing on asphalt rather than off road and is now a regular competitor in UAE National Sportsbike Championship in Dubai competing against our Vendetta Racing boys.

As this is a huge international event our own Alan Boyter traveled over with him as his mechanic for his 2 Yamaha R6 race bikes and to ensure he was flying the Vendetta logo around the 37.72 mile long circuit. Alan also sent back daily reports on the racing activities so everyone in Dubai wasnt left out. To read the entire blog report click here

2 July 2009 - New bikes on order
Its official, we have now ordered 2 new bikes for next season! We decided to choose the Triumph 675 Daytona for our weapons of choice as the new 2009 model seems to have a rather competitive edge and it will also be the only 675’s on the Grid.
Without having a local Triumph dealer here in the UAE and the closest being in Qatar, it wasn’t an easy decision to make but the pro’s more than outweighed the con’s. T3 racing (www.t3-racing.co.uk) have been commissioned to build the bikes as they have close ties with Triumph and currently run the one make triumph triple challenge (http://www.triumphtriplechallenge.com) along with building every bike for the championship. Both bikes are being built to the latest regulations as set by the Dubai Autodrome, the modifications list is as follows:

-ECU re-mapped and software supplied
-Nitron rear Shock with 20mm fork Cartridge kits
-Complete set of composite crash protection
-T3’s very own designed Rearsets
-stainless steel brake lines
-‘Pitbull’ steering dampers
-Fuel Caps
-Clip On Bars
-Exhaust Modification (de-cat)
-Scorpion End Cans
-Race Airfilters
-520 chain sets with various sprockets
-Stomp Grip traction pads

The above parts all mated to the latest 2009 model which boasts more power than any other previous model, should make quite a formidable track weapon.
