Round 2
Moody #10
Race 1 started in an average start which got me behind some of the 1000's after turn 1, battling it out with the Kawasaki's and Toni's R1 was great fun, though being passed again
and again on the two straits of the international circuit didn't help much and that really kept me fighting to keep my position and couldn't really catch the front runners!
A late brake on lap 4 at turn 16 resulted in going wide to avoid a crash while over braking the Kawasaki which left me with little time to catch him and Yamaha's R1 by the last corner of the last lap. less than half a second down to the chequered flag.............better luck next time!
Race 2 I managed a better start, but it wasn't the case for the new 190 Dunlop tires! I tried my best to keep up and battle it out with Andreas R6 and the ZX6 again, but as the tires were getting completely worn out as was my energy levels, all I could manage was 7th place again. Steve on his Honda was very close to clinch that from me, but the Triumph proved once again that there are loads of potential there, as we hit the mid 1' 51''s lap time, we just need the better tires for next time!

Race 1 was tough. The start was pretty messy which didn't work in my favor at all! by the time lap 2 came round I had missed my chance to sit with the front runners but with Steve right behind me I knew I wasn't going to have an easy time of it. Luckily Steve backed of towards the end as he feared he might run out of fuel! to be honest my fuel light came on with 2 laps to go but I figured I be as well keep pushing, if I run out I run out! It would seem there was a couple of people that fell short of the flag due to lack of fuel, I cant figure out why we all misjudged it!
Race 2 and again a messy start which put me towards the back, I'm blaming the fact that the Triumph isn't as wide as last years R6 so there isn't as much 'presence' in turn 1 lol! It was very much a reflection of race 1 but the rear tire started to die about mid race. We were all using the new Dunlop 211's which have a 190 rear section. I've never had issues with tires before so I was surprised when the back wheel preferred to spin and slide rather than push the bike forward out of corners. All i could do was get the most out of it until the flag. Luckily Steve was the only one to pass me so i finished 9th.
