Vendetta Racing heads back to Saudi for the Dakar Rally 2022

Vendetta Racing are currently in the mids of in-depth planning for the 2022 Dakar Rally.

The Dakar Rally is the ultimate event for any off-road rider, it also represents the biggest challenge of Vendetta’s 12 - year history, and we can’t wait.

The Dakar is heading south. The two latest editions, which were focused on a tour of the Saudi deserts, demonstrated the diversity of the country’s landscapes, going from canyons and cliffs in the Neom region to stretches of dunes surrounding Riyadh, passing by the Red Sea coastline which sparkled with infinite shades of blue. To seek out challenges worthy of those who let nothing stop them in their tracks, the 2022 route will venture into the Empty Quarter, which is as sandy as it is mysterious.  Surrounded by vast stretches of sand and dunes, the experts in the saddle or behind the wheel will be able to take advantage of the landscape, provided that they put their navigation skills to good use.

The Riders

Two riders are already confirmed for our Dakar 2022 challenge.  Keep a lookout for updates on this page as more riders are confirmed.

David McBride

McBride is a veteran on cross country rallies in the truest form. A regular in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge since 1996, International baja wins and 10th place overall in the Rally World Championship 2017. He certainly has the experience and the natural talent to do well in Dakar

David Mabbs
Mabbs is had over nine years of international rallying experience on four wheels prior to switching to bikes in 2013.  Since then he has consistently improved in the sand with every event entered.
With a 9th in class in the 2019 Africa Eco Race, Mabbs has already tasted what a 2 week rally entails.
